Necessary Medications:
No medicine, whether prescription or over-the-counter, will be dispensed without a physician's statement. The parent must also bring the medicine to the school in its original container and sign the appropriate authorization form. The directions for administering prescription medicine must be on the container. Directions for administering over-the-counter medication must be accompanied by a physician's statement. All medication must be delivered to the principal's office by the parent and will be administered in the principal's office or designated area. This is in compliance with Oklahoma law and school policy/procedures regarding administering medication to students. Violations of this rule will be reported to the student's parent/guardian by the principal and may result in discipline action. Students are NEVER to have any kind of medication with them.
DO NOT send your child to the office to deliver the medication. An authorization form must be signed by the parent/guardian before it can be administered.
DO NOT send medication with your child on the bus. It must be walked in by a parent/guardian and an authorization form must be signed before it can be aminstered.
